Exceptional Zenith Daytona in yellow gold with a beautifully oxidized case from New Zealand.
The case is a feast for the eyes of vintage enthusiasts. Unpolished, it displays a wonderful oxidation on the lugs and part of the bezel. This oxidation effect occurs when an 18-karat yellow gold watch is worn very, very rarely. Fine copper particles are deposited on the surface, creating a truly wonderful effect.
Certainly not for everyone, but we find this authenticity simply fantastic and have therefore left the watch untouched. If you like the watch but not the patina, we will gladly remove it upon request.
The dial is another highlight. It is a rare brilliant-cut diamond dial with a special effect. Have you already noticed the subdials? Yes, they too have acquired a wonderfully rich cream tone due to the minimal wear and dark storage. Furthermore, the dial is in perfect condition.
The hands are also perfect and are the original set without lume material for diamond-set dials.
This watch has been produced in 1992, but sold considerably later. A common practice at the time, as yellow gold cases were produced in batches and then ordered as needed. Considering the shipping time from Switzerland to New Zealand, it’s quite possible that this watch was originally delivered with this dial.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp and already shows light signs of oxidation, which perfectly matches the watch’s condition.

The black crocodile leather strap is new and unworn. It’s the L size, making it suitable for larger wrists. The 18-karat Rolex folded clasp, like the watch itself, is unpolished and shows light signs of wear.
