Description: Extremely rare and beautiful 1675 GMT from the first series with tropical brown OCC dial.

A GMT highlight of my career as a watch dealer. This watch is one of the first 1675s ever built and features the rarest dial ever built in a 1675. Anyone who looks at the pictures will quickly notice that the Superlative lettering, which has always been found on later watches, is missing from the face. The reason for this is that this watch is the first 1675 variant and still shows the “old” layout of the 6542. This means that only Officially Certified Chronometer is written on the dial and therefore this dial variant is also referred to as OCC.

The case is in very good condition. We recently gave it a gentle polish because the edges were a bit rounded. By removing minimal material, my expert gave the watch the typical, classic, wide edge cut and so it now shines in almost the same condition as it has been delivered. In order to preserve the character of the watch perfectly, we have not touched large parts of the case. Therefore, the watch shows slight signs of wear on the polished side surfaces, but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that.

In addition to the extremely rare OCC variant that I have already described above, the dial has another highlight. It is a tropical dial, which means the black lacquer has turned into a wonderful brown tone over time in combination with the brass base plate. Typically for these dials, the tropical brown tone is strongest on the date window, the hands outlet and on the edge of the dial. We tried to capture this optimally in pictures, but it is even more powerful if you see it in person. Furthermore, the dial only shows very slight punctuation and the mirror is still in excellent condition (full gloss!).

The hands are later tritium service hands, except for the small 24 hour hand which is original to the watch and in combination with the perfectly harmonious patina creates a wonderfully harmonious picture.

The bezel and inlay are another highlight. This is the first bezel version of the GMT 1675. Unlike later versions, this has continuous serrations on the outer edge. We were able to capture this perfectly in the case pictures. Furthermore, the inlay is original to the watch with super cool signs of aging. By the way, we were able to purchase this watch directly from the original owner through a contact. That’s why we know that the inlay has been delivered that way!

The caseback is also important for a 1675 OCC. This must be engraved IV/59 or I/60. Of course we have checked this and guarantee that the caseback with engraving 1/60 is original to the watch!

Another highlight is the missing date loupe. Have you noticed? Correct, because this glas is a mega rare t38 superdomed glas without a loupe, which highlights the beauty and tropical effect of the watch even more.

Finally, the information about the bracelet. A highlight here too. This is an extremely early and period correct 7206 STRETCH Oyster rivet bracelet. These bracelets have only been installed for a short period of time and are therefore just as rare as the watch. The clasp code is 3/60, which goes wonderfully with the watch and the condition of the bracelet is perfect.

Conclusion: highlight after highlight. This 1675 OCC combines so many rare elements that it will be difficult to find another example of this quality!
