Description: HIGHLIGHT watch. Beautiful 1680 Submariner with super cool patina in a full set.
The case is in wonderful condition. Full lugs, great edges and a very good matt finish on the top of the case are clear quality features. Based on the overall shape and structure of the case, I would say unpolished to polished once at most.
There are signs of wear as you can see in the pictures, but they fit perfectly into the harmonious vintage vibe of this watch and underline the magnificent charm.
The absolute highlight of this watch is the dial. It is a MK3 MAXI dial. The condition and especially the lume is exceptional. No damage at all, super clear print and such a strong and even patina..

The tritium hands, just as the dial, are top notch and, above all, have a perfectly harmonious patina to the dial.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp and the MK3 bezel inlay impresses with bold print and great, strong black.
Full set? Yes full set. This watch came to me through a good friend and fellow dealer. He only makes modern watches and was offered the watch directly by the concessionaire?
Is the Watchguy kidding us now? No. The concessionaire bought this watch for himself in 1980, wore it and put it aside at some point. Therefore no entry in the certificate, because he knew how and when he received and bought it. Now the concession has been passed on to the next generation and he wanted to part with some pieces in his retirement. That’s why I sincerely hope that there will be more hits like this watch.
Scope of delivery is great. Original seahorse box, original Submariner booklet, leather pouch with serial number sticker, simply great.
The 93150 Oyster bracelet is great with no significant signs of wear and almost no stretch. The clasp code is VD for 1979 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
