Description: Fine 1665 Sea-Dweller Great White in perfect scope of delivery.
The case is in very good condition. Unique and really well and gently polished during a Rolex service in the past, it shows top proportions, sharp edges and a very good matte finish on the top of the case.
There are minor signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that.
You can always tell the quality of a Sea-Dweller case by the position of the helium valve. If it is straight or even sticking out beyond the case, it is better to leave it alone. Here we have a perfectly positioned helium valve that sits deep in the case.
The wonderful Sea-Dweller Great White dial is in perfect condition. It is the MKIV variant, which matches the serial number perfectly and is therefore the original dial for the watch. As I said, the condition is perfect. No damage, clear print and the tritium lume has aged to a great cream to vanilla tone.
The hands are also in top condition and have a patina that matches the dial perfectly. The bezel is wonderfully sharp and the MK3 bezel inlay shows great aging into the blue. Oh and of course a t39 superdomed is installed, so we’re talking about delivery condition here!
In addition to the cool watch, the scope of delivery is great!
The watch has been sold on January 23, 1984 at Osaka International Airport and the buyer was a careful person. In addition to the original papers, the original box with 1665 stickers, both booklets, pouch with serial numbers and even the original old 2000ft anchor are preserved! Some collectors would kill for the anchor alone 😉
Just as the watch, the 93150 Oyster bracelet is great, with light signs of wear and the lightest stretch. It has all links and with the clasp code G for 1982, it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: Super cool Sea-Dweller. Sold in 84 at Osaka Airport. Maybe for your upcoming diving vacation?
