The case is in excellent condition. Likely polished once with minimal material loss, it\u00a0retains\u00a0full lugs, sharp\u00a0edges\u00a0and a fine matte finish on the top of the case. While there are signs of wear and some light sleeve polish,\u00a0the overall result is a magnificent vintage case\u00a0–\u00a0exactly the kind we love.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight and heart of this watch is its wonderful dial\u2014specifically, the MAXI MKIV variant. The dial is in\u00a0top\u00a0condition; as the photos clearly show, the\u00a0lume\u00a0material has developed a gorgeous,\u00a0even\u00a0vanilla patina that gives this vintage gem the perfect look.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The hands are also in top condition featuring a patina that harmonizes beautifully with the dial.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The bezel is beautifully\u00a0sharp\u00a0and the watch is fitted with a T19 “super-dome”\u00a0plexiglas\u00a0for fully\u00a0showcasing\u00a0that vintage aesthetic.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The bezel inlay\u00a0is original to the watch; it is the late MK3 variant, characterized by the slightly wider top bar on the numeral “4” (in the “40” marking). This variant was used on MKIV and MKV Maxi Submariners\u00a0making it a perfectly correct match.\u00a0The\u00a0lume\u00a0pearl is also tritium.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 93150 Oyster bracelet is in excellent condition showing normal signs of wear and light stretch. It was replaced during a service, so the clasp code\u00a0is\u00a0S W3 indicating March 1996.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
