A fantastic Double Red Sea-Dweller MKIV from Northern Germany.<\/p>\n

The case is in very good vintage condition. We know the watch’s history perfectly and can therefore confirm that it was first and only lightly polished in 1980 as part of a Rolex service and the polishing was done very gently, with minimal material removal. As a result, this Double Red presents itself with a robust case, full lugs, sharp edges, and a good matte finish on the top of the case. There are signs of wear, but that’s how a vintage tool watch should look like.<\/p>\n

The quality of the case is further confirmed by the completely intact blood groove on the caseback.<\/p>\n

The caseback is the original one with the Rolex logo engraved on the inside and the full serial number is engraved there as well.<\/p>\n

The Double Red dial is a dream. It’s in great condition with crisp print and a gorgeous patina. The lume material has a clear, strong, and wonderfully even patina, complemented by a vibrant red print. This is exactly how we want a Double Red dial to look like. This is the MKIV version, which was used in the watch exactly as it was originally manufactured.<\/p>\n

The hands are also in excellent condition with a patina that perfectly matches the dial.<\/p>\n

The bezel is the original Double Red bezel and not a later service bezel. This is evident from the thick edge of the bezel and the slightly thinner teeth. The bezel is not overpolished; its shape corresponds to that of the first original bezels used by Rolex.<\/p>\n

The bezel inlay is a beautiful, deep black MK3 inlay with a patina that perfectly matches the pearl, dial, and hands.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the watch also features a wonderful T39 superdomed crystal to showcase the full beauty of the Double Red dial.<\/p>\n

The 93150 Oyster bracelet was replaced during the aforementioned service in 1980. It shows light stretch, consistent wear marks with the case, and has the clasp code F for 1981, indicating that it dates from the year of the service by Rolex.<\/p>\n
