The case is in very good condition. Lightly polished in the past with care and to a truly high standard, it displays full proportions, beautifully sharp edges, the wide chamfers typical of GMTs from the 1980s, and a very good matte finish on the case top.<\/p>\n

The watch comes from a wonderful German collection, arrived at my client’s location freshly refinished, and has only been worn occasionally in recent years. Therefore, the case shows only light, superficial signs of wear and no deep scratches, dents, or the like.<\/p>\n

The matte MK2 GMT-Master dial is one of the watch’s highlights. Dating from 1984, with a serial number of 8.2 million, the MK2 dial is a perfect match for the watch’s age and is certainly original. Its condition is truly wonderful. The printing is crisp and there is no damage whatsoever. Furthermore, the luminous material has developed a lovely, slightly vanilla-colored patina.<\/p>\n

The hands are in very good condition with a slightly lighter patina than the dial. This is quite typical, as the luminous material on the dial was applied more thinly than on the numerals.<\/p>\n

The bezel is still wonderfully sharp, and the Pepsi inlay is a great early blueback inlay with a so-called “fat serif” print. As you can see from the pictures, the numerals are indeed thick and printed with pronounced serifs. Hence the term “fat serif.”<\/p>\n

We are pleased to offer this fantastic matte GMT with box and papers. It was sold on March 7, 1986, by Roberto O’Petroni in Argentina (LC 790). The set is beautiful, including the original box, wallet (torn in the middle), translation, and seal.<\/p>\n

The 78360 Oyster bracelet, like the watch, is in fine vintage condition. It shows only minimal stretch, was lightly polished like the case, and has not been worn often since. Therefore, there are only the slightest signs of wear. The clasp code is I3, dating March 1984, and therefore this is the original bracelet for the watch.<\/p>\n
