While it has been polished at some point, it still displays nice proportions, sharp edges, and a very good matte finish. Light signs of wear are present, but there are no deep scratches, dents, or anything like that.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of this watch is definitely the dial. This is the MK2 variant, which was only used in serial numbers between 2 and 2.3 million, meaning it was in use for less than a year. This makes it the rarest matte dial ever used by Rolex. The MK2 dial is particularly recognizable by the serifs of the Rolex &#8220;E.&#8221; These are very prominent and distinctive.<\/p>\n<p>The dial is in truly wonderful condition. No damage, crisp printing, and the tritium lume has developed a creamy, slightly vanilla-colored patina. This adds further character to the dial and makes it absolutely stunning on the wrist.<\/p>\n<p>The hands are original to both the watch and the dial and are also in fine condition with a patina that complements the dial perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>The 7206 riveted Oyster bracelet is another highlight. It is in top condition, comes with the correct 80 end links, and, exceptionally for a 1968 watch, it is the original bracelet with clasp code 4\/68 for fourth quarter of 1968.<\/p>\n<p>Conclusion: Extremely rare, extremely beautiful.
